Activities & Experiences:

Begin your journey with a warm welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport by a Hope Lanka representative. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling commercial capital. In the afternoon, set out on a guided city tour to explore colonial architecture, vibrant markets, and iconic landmarks like Independence Square and Galle Face Green. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, travel to Sigiriya, with a fascinating stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can witness the care and feeding of rescued elephants. After lunch, ascend the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient frescoes, royal gardens, and breathtaking views. Dinner and overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Depart after breakfast toward the cultural capital of Kandy. Along the way, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a complex of five caves adorned with murals and statues of the Buddha. Explore a Batik Factory and a Spice Garden in Matale, learning about Sri Lanka’s artisanal crafts and spice traditions. After breakfast, journey into Sri Lanka’s scenic highlands to Nuwara Eliya, affectionately known as “Little England.” En route, explore the lush Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, stop by a Gem Museum & Factory, and visit a Tea Plantation & Factory where you can learn about the island’s famed Ceylon tea. Capture views of cascading waterfalls before settling in for a cozy overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Start your day with a trip to Kitulgala, a verdant riverside town famed as the filming location for The Bridge on the River Kwai. Enjoy an adventurous white-water rafting experience on the Kelani River, surrounded by rainforest scenery. After your adrenaline-filled morning, return to the Plantation Hotel for refreshments. Later, transfer to the coastal town of Negombo for a relaxing beachside overnight stay.
