Activities & Experiences:
- Day 01: Airport – Pinnawala – Dambulla
Your adventure begins as you arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by Hope Lanka staff and your English-speaking chauffeur guide. En route to Dambulla, enjoy a visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a sanctuary for rescued elephants, where you can observe these gentle giants up close. Upon arrival in Dambulla, check in to your hotel and relax in comfort amidst the tranquil surroundings.
- Day 02: Anuradhapura – Giritale
After breakfast, head to Anuradhapura, the first ancient capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its remarkable historical landmarks, including Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, Sri Maha Bodhi, and other architectural marvels that reflect the spiritual and royal legacy of early Sri Lanka. Continue your journey to Giritale, where you will enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
- Day 03: Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya – Kandy
Begin your day with a visit to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka, renowned for its well-preserved ruins and religious structures like the Vatadage and Gal Vihara. Then, travel to Sigiriya, the legendary rock fortress also known as the “8th Wonder of the World.” Ascend this towering rock to witness ancient frescoes, water gardens, and panoramic views. Later, head towards the scenic hill capital of Kandy for an overnight stay surrounded by culture and charm.
- Day 04: Kandy – Negombo
After breakfast, delve into the cultural treasures of Kandy, visiting the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, home to one of Buddhism’s most revered relics. Depending on your departure time, you’ll be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport, concluding your unforgettable cultural journey through Sri Lanka.
