Activities & Experiences:
- Day 1: Arrival – Negombo
Upon landing at Bandaranaike International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking tour guide and escorted to a relaxing beach hotel in Negombo. Enjoy a peaceful evening by the Indian Ocean and a restful overnight stay.
- Day 2: Negombo – Kaudulla National Park – Sigiriya
After breakfast, travel inland to the cultural heartland of Sri Lanka. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling jeep safari in Kaudulla National Park, famous for its herds of elephants and rich wildlife. End the day in Sigiriya, where you’ll settle in for an overnight stay.
- Day 3: Dambulla – Matale – Kandy
Start your day with a visit to the majestic Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ancient murals and statues. On the way to Kandy, stop in Matale to tour a fragrant spice garden. Once in Kandy, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and cap off the evening with a traditional cultural dance show. Overnight in Kandy.
- Day 4: Pinnawala – Peradeniya – Kandy
After breakfast, head to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and the Millennium Elephant Foundation, where you’ll learn about elephant care and conservation. In the afternoon, explore the tranquil Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, home to over 4,000 plant species. Return to your Kandy hotel for another overnight stay.
- Day 5: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Depart for Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England” for its colonial charm. Along the way, tour a tea plantation and factory, then admire the town’s scenic landmarks including Gregory Lake, the racecourse, and Hakgala Botanical Gardens.
